Services > Recycling
We are delighted to introduce a new zero-landfill recycling programme featuring an online portal, where customers can register, request and process their collections. Customer can also access reporting on their recycling as well as waste transfer certificates.
We have introduced a small charge of £15 per box for ordering customers or £45 per box for non-ordering customers. These charges are to ensure customers continue to receive a fast and efficient recycling service, and will go towards the cost of the recycling box including delivery, the collection, and recycling.
To start recycling, here’s what you need to do:
Step 1 – Open an Account
Existing Customer
If you are already an ordering customer of OfficeXpress collecting compliant items suitable for reuse, please request a recycling box from your Account Manager. You will be charged £15 per box which will be shipped with your normal orders wherever possible.
New Customer
If you would like to become an OfficeXpress customer and start using our recycling solution, please click on the “open an account” link below and complete the online application form. Once you have opened an account and placed your first order, you can request a recycling box at £15 per box.
Non-Ordering Customer
If you do not wish to order your supplies from OfficeXpress, but would still like to use our recycling service, please click on the “open an account” link below and complete the online application form. Step 2 – Start Recycling
Once you have received your recycling box, simply start collecting your compliant used ink and toner cartridges. Each recycling box is designed to carry a maximum of 30kg and can hold between 15 and 20 toner cartridges.
We recycle original, compatible, and remanufactured toner and ink cartridges, drums, maintenance kits and fuser units.
Please note, we will not accept any clones as these cannot be recycled. A penalty charge of £15 per kg will be applied for any clones returned to cover the cost of disposal.
Step 3 – Arrange a Collection
Once your recycling box is full of compliant waste, you can now arrange a collection. To do this you firstly need to register to our online recycling portal by clicking the link below.
Collection
It normally takes a couple of days to get you setup so we suggest registering right at the start of your recycling process to avoid any delays.
Once registered, you will be able to arrange collections and access reporting on your recycling. In addition, you can obtain Waste Transfer Certificates which are handy for environmental audits or Ofsted inspections.
